Hello and welcome to my website.
As you can see from the giveaway title I’m a freelance writer and as a long term resident of Kent, I love writing about the county’s people and places. Naturally inquisitive, or nosy, depending upon how you look at it, I enjoy talking to people and visiting venues to discover the details that make features interesting.
Recent commissions have ranged from author interviews to youth organisations and from tourist attractions to environmental issues. No two projects are ever the same but I believe in treating them all with dedication and professionalism.
I specialise in historical people and places and since September 2010 have been indulging my inner ‘history geek’ by writing a blog for Kent Life magazine. With a wealth of history on my doorstep I’m spoilt for choice but, so far, my eclectic coverage has featured gems such as a world class Regency and Georgian waistcoat collection, the UK’s biggest human bone collection, haunted National Trust buildings and a very special aircraft museum.
My work most frequently appears through Kent Life but has also been published in Knowonder!, Stories for Children and A Walk in the Garden magazine.
Regardless of the topic my aim is always to provide high-quality content, to brief and to deadline.

I look forward to hearing from you.
